We collect the minimum amount of information required for the app to function correctly:

• Device identifier — an anonymous, non-personal identifier used to save your progress and unlock status locally on your device.
• Purchase history — whether you have unlocked the full course, handled entirely through Apple's in-app purchase system. We do not receive your payment details.
• App usage data — lesson completion and quiz scores, stored locally on your device to power your progress dashboard.

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information. No account creation is required to use ForCandles.

3. How we use it

The information described above is used solely to:

• Remember your lesson progress and quiz results between sessions
• Verify your in-app purchase and unlock the full course
• Display your progress dashboard accurately

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes of any kind.

4. Third parties

ForCandles uses Apple's in-app purchase infrastructure to process payments. Apple's privacy practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

We do not share your data with any other third parties. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking tools of any kind.

5. Data storage and security

Your progress and purchase status are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a server that holds your personal data. No personal data is transmitted to us directly.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that any data associated with our app is handled securely and in accordance with this policy.

6. Children's privacy

ForCandles is rated 9+ on the App Store and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have certain rights regarding your data under applicable privacy law, including the UK GDPR and EU GDPR. These include the right to access, correct, or delete data we hold about you.
